Meyer Team Collects
Signatures County Legislator Bill Meyer Bill Meyer
submitted over 640 valid signatures to the board of elections for the
upcoming November election. "My volunteers did a great job of collecting
Republican, Conservative and Independence petitions", said Meyer. The 3rd
Legislative district covers 2/3 of the Town of Cicero and the northern
portion of Manlius. |

Meyer Participates With NAMOW County Legislator Bill Meyer, right,
recently rode with Larry, a regular driver for North Area Meals on Wheels (NAMOW)
in North Syracuse. Pictured with Bill and Larry is Lucy who was helping her
mother when the food was delivered.
NAMOW runs 19 routes to serve the North
Syracuse area. Onondaga County participates with NAMOW through the Aging &
Youth Department.

Meyer Conducts Tour For School County Legislator Bill Meyer, left,
recently conducted a tour of the County Court House for high school
students. The students saw the "Teddy Roosevelt Chair" located in one of
the judicial chamber areas. This is the actual chair that President
Roosevelt sat in when he testified in a trial held in the Onondaga County
Court House. The students also sat in on Family Court Judge Michael
Hanuszczak's court and observed the court process in action.

Meyer Holds Community Hearing In Minoa and North Syracuse Legislator Bill Meyer recently held
community meetings in Minoa & North Syracuse. The meetings covered veterans
issues, energy cost and the prescription discount drug card.

Meyer Inspects Upgrades to Zoo
Zoo Director Chuck Doyle recently showed a
group of County Legislators new upgrades to the Zoo. Doyle explained that
the penguin exhibit is proving to draw more visitors to the area as well as
county residents.
